Laser & IPL Permanent Hair Reduction
Broad spectrum light from the IPL and monochromatic laser light from laser targets the melanin in the hair shaft where most of the melanin is at the highest concentration. As the light is absorbed, the bulb and most of the hair shaft are heated, destroying the hair-producing papilla.
At Elixir we use CUTERA lasers (Alexandrite 754 and Nd:Yag 1064) and Solari from Lutronic IPL for permanent hair reduction. Each is selected carefully depending on your Fitzpatrick reading.
We always test patch with all 3 wavelengths, 2-7 days prior to your hair removal treatments. Test patch is non negotiable at Elixir even if you have had laser and IPL elsewhere. This eliminates the negative side effects as well as making sure you receive optimum result in short period of time.
Our staff are highly trained in light therapies with full certification from government-accredited course. You will receive a comprehensive consultation with your test patch, as your safety is our highest priority.
